This is a good place to get in touch with lost friends. Andrew, it's great to hear from you! Sarah and I have been wondering where you are and how you're doing.Dean, you and anyone else can find me at dollyllama23@hotmail.com It's the easiest way since my Dad usually answers the phone here, and with his with his strange sense of humor and possibly a touch of dementia, well we just wouldn't want to go there.

I met Dale as a very young man when I happened to be dating his daughter and I remember him as a very kind, funny gentle man, especially considering the circumstances. Whenever I hear Eye of the Hurricane I think of him and his guitar and listening to Joni Mitchell in his basement studio. I can't tell ya how sad it is to hear he's gone, my condolences to Jean and all the other folks missing a good man.

I woke up today thinking about Walter Brennan. I immediately looked online to see if any of his recordings were available on c.d. I found an album called "Shep". I was playing some samples and Robin walked in and said "Dale would love this." I remember Donny Reyzik doing "Old Rivers" as we were packing up after playing some bar. Savage and I were in tears. Last fall I made a Herb Alpert mix c.d. for Savage. As I was helping Jean pack up his stuff after he died, I found the c.d. I made him in his player. It was really gratifying to realize he enjoyed it.

Hello from Florida,
Just thinking about Dale - have a picture of Dale, Larry, and Bob up on my board at work. I have to laugh at some of these stories. Sure will miss hearing him - what a character!!!

I'll be thinking of Dale at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival later this week. We spent a few wonderful days there in the summer of '07. Jimmy LaFave, whom we saw that summer and Dale really liked, is coming back...
